We had another great week of fishing the Peconic Bays, even working through some tough weather. The week started great with some great weakfish catches, and some short fluke. We lost Thursday due to wind & rain, but Friday and Saturday were on fire with boat limits on weakfish both days. Saturday we had a heartbreaker when we lost a doormat fluke right at the boat - it happens! The boat was safely pulled from the water for Tropical Storm Henri, but we'll be back in action
What a week it's been. I've had some great charters, awesome people, and some interesting catches. To start the week, we caught a newcomer to our waters, a "Ribbon Fish", a visitor from the south. That was followed up by some great Weakfish catches from all the charter guests this week. Happy guests, tasty fillets, and great summer weather make it a great time to get out on the water.
Had a great weekend of trips. On Saturday I took out the Marino crew, and they managed to catch some nice weakfish, and a doormat fluke. Sunday I had the Newman boys, and they hit their limit of tiderunner weakfish. Great weekend of fishing. Give a call and book a trip, I still have some dates for August left.
