Had a great charter today for Peconic Water Sports. Picked up a great family from Shelter Island, and we hit the grounds. Our first drop produced only a steady bite of porgies, but when we moved we found the weakfish. First a nice 21" weak was boated, and then on our final drift, a huge 24" fish hit the deck. The fish are here, give a call and come on out.
The last two days of charters were lucky to get some great weather, and great fishing. It was truly a mixed bag this past two days. We caught large porgys, Weakfish, Bluefish, and a Black Sea Bass ( which was returned, out of season). All aboard had a great time, and took home some nice fillets for the table. Dates are booking fast, so give a call and book your date. Remember we are also running full day Montauk Fluke trips.
Did a charter for Peconic Water Sports today. Took out a great group and we were on to the fish on the first drop. The kids caught some huge porgies, along with Porgzilla, one of the largest porgies that I have ever seen. We also got some weakfish, but most were shorts, then a great keeper was brought over the rail. Great day on the water with a great group.
After a rainy night, I got up early, looked outside and headed to the skiff. After some casting, I found this nice 24" striped bass off a local beach. Some other small fish around, but a great quick trip.
