Did a charter for Peconic Water Sports, and had Stephen Roche, his buddy Dom, and there sons out for some Peconic Bay Fishing. We hit all the spots, and the boys had a great time with porgy's and sand sharks, but the weakfish were eluding us. On our final stop, we found them, and had a few short fish, then Stephen Jr, handed the rod to his father, and it went off. Stephen Sr, fought and landed a nice 26" Weakfish that weighed in at 4 lbs. The guys had a great time and too
Took the Mako ProSkiff to Shinnecock today with my friend Dom Marino. The weather was gorgeous so we headed to the reef for some sea bass. We jigged our limit of large sea bass, while culling through about 50 fish. The area was full of life, we caught bluefish, mackerel, & a false albacore. While heading back to the inlet we saw whales on the surface - a total treat. Inside the bay we started catching short fluke and sea robins. We managed one nice keeper fluke before w
Went out last night with the DeMarco charter for some dusk striped bass fishing. The weather was beautiful, and everyone was treated to a great sunset. The fishing was slow, but Nick (all the way from Sweden) was the lucky angler to catch a nice 34" striper that weighed in at approx. 20 lbs on the boat scale. They guys had a great time, and some nice fillets to take home.
Went out yesterday with the Saracini boys for a morning of fishing on the bays. Started with a slow bite of small weakfish and sandsharks, but once we moved around a bit, we started finding the fish. Young Niko was high hook for the day.
So what does a charter captain do on his day off - Go Fishing!! Took my friend Jim Stumpf out on the skiff for some shallow water fluking action. Saw that the inlet was flat, and the ocean as well, so we headed to the reef to hit the sea bass. We slammed them on jigs, catching at least 50 fish in the hour we were there, and putting our limit on ice. Back inside the bay, Jim caught a nice keeper fluke along with some shorts to round out the day. All this before noon. Give a ca
Did an away trip on the new Knot Debaitable to Montauk. The boat ran great, and other than some fog, we were fishing in no time. We immediately were into fish, landing some nice fluke keeping two legal fish. After that is was lock & load sea bass fishing. John was fishing bait, and I was using the jig to score our limit of Black Sea Bass while culling through over 200 fish. We got a few more short fluke, a skate, mackerel, bluefish, and a porgy to round out the day. Our
