Had two charters today, and they couldn't have been more different. The morning trip was with the Cohen family, and we had great weather and seas, the boys caught a bunch of weakfish, taking some keepers home for the table. The afternoon I had the Casamassimo charter, and the wind was howling, but we persevered, and caught our share of weakfish, and managed some nice ones for the box. It was a great day, with different conditions on each trip, we persevered and caught fish
Between rainstorms, I took out Paul & Luke LeSueur for an afternoon trip. We had a steady bite all day, and the boys caught some nice weakfish, a few porgys, and a kingfish. Still lots of summer left, so give a call and book a trip.
Had a great weekend of charters, both the weather and the fish cooperated. On Saturday I had the McSweeney group, and after a slow start with some stiff northeast wind, we found the fish, and the boys put a limit of large weakfish in the box. On Sunday I had the Ellia group, and after catching a slammer weakfish, we moved on and managed to limit out again. The fish move around, but persistence pays off, and we find them. Still a lot of summer left, and the fish are chewin
Had a great charter yesterday with Allison Cole, and her sister Melissa Harvey along with their children. Originally a morning trip, we postponed due to rain, and it turned out to be a great afternoon. We were on to the fish on our first drop and had a steady bite the whole trip. We even had a Kingfish, visiting from the south. Both the kids and adults had a great time, and they took home some great fillets for the table.
This past Wednesday night, my wife Wendy & I went out for a Striped Bass trip to Plum Gut. The weather was beautiful with light winds, and a favorable tide. We got there a little early, and were catching bluefish, but as soon as the sun dipped below the horizon, it all changed. Wendy was the first to land a slot sized keeper Striped Bass. On our next drop, I was the first to hook up with the same slot sized fish. Limited out, we headed for home just as the sun was settin
I had some cousins down from the frozen north of Canada this week, and after my morning charter, got them out for some epic weakfish action. We hit the wind and tides just right, and the fish didn't disappoint. It was nonstop action the whole trip, we left the fish biting. We had our boat limit of keepers within the first two drifts and continued to catch and release for another 2 hours. It was a truly epic trip close to home.
Had a great trip yesterday with the Moriarty group. It was great to pick up three generations from their boat "Celtic Pride" and set off in search of fish. We headed up the bay to catch the last of the outgoing tide, and we hit it perfect. The kids had fish on the first drop, and we had a steady weakfish bite for about 2-hours. When the tide slowed, we moved farther down the bay, and found them again. The group landed many weakfish, and finished the day just shy of their
