Foggy Waters, Hot Bite!

Took the Skule charter out today for a spring mixed-bag trip, and while the fog was thick as pea soup from dock to dock, the fish didn’t seem to mind!

We kicked things off with a steady striped bass bite—mostly shorts, but plenty of action to keep rods bent. At one point, we spotted some surface busting fish, and Russ fired a Game-On topwater right into the mix… instant hookup! It turned out to be a perfect slot fish, which we iced down for the table.

Once the tide slowed, we shifted gears and pushed inshore—still socked in with fog—but it paid off again. After some poking around, we found the weakfish and the crew landed their limit of keepers! We also saw some short fluke, a surprise sea bass, and the ever-reliable porgies to round out the catch.

Despite the fog, the laughs were loud, the fish were biting, and the coolers went home a little heavier. Great crew, great fishing, and a solid spring day on the water!
