What a great Father’s Day trip with the Heller family this morning! After two blown-out days, it felt awesome to get back on the water, make some memories, and put smiles on faces. The Peconic Bay delivered once again. While the morning started off a little slow, the action picked up as the day went on with weakfish, porgies, and sand sharks keeping the rods bent. The fluke managed to evade us today, but the crew still headed home with some nice fillets and even bigger smiles

This past Saturday, I hit the water with the Peper brothers, Eric and Harold. We left the dock at 5:00 a.m., hoping to get in on an early striper bite, but the fish had other plans. We worked Plum Gut and The Race hard, covering plenty of water and trying just about everything we could think of, but came up empty.
