More great Fluking

Another great day fluking. Fished in local North Fork waters again, and we hit more nice fluke. Had a number of shorts, bluefish, and a nice Black Sea Bass which was promptly released. Wendy got this nice 23" keeper at the Greenlawns, Another great day!

Fluke Season Opening

Went out fluking today. Had a good bite in the morning on the outgoing tide. Caught two nice keepers, a few shorts, and a bluefish. When the tide switched, we had wind against tide conditions and the bite shut down. Both keepers were fat, so we had really nice fillets.

Bluefish & Porgys

Had good weather, so we went out to hit the grounds and see what was around after all this foul weather. Found some huge bunker schools - worked them for some large (10 lbs + ) bluefish. Had jumbo porgies, but they were not in the usual spots - once we found them it was nonstop action with some large fish. Great morning on the bay.

First Porgy Trip of 2017 Season

Had the first good weather day, so we hit the porgy grounds in Peconic Bay. Even though it was a beautiful day, we had wind against tide conditions. Managed a good catch of nice 3 lb plus porgies. Bite died down as east wind increased. Had a nice catch at the end of the morning and a good first trip.
